New Hope Foundation, Inc., we are a 501(C)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the historic New Hope Rosenwald School located in the small rural town of Fredonia, AL. Our undaunted commitment to this project will undoubtedly save the precious past to shape the future for future generations.
Historic Landmark & Site Development.
It is our goal to maintain the Rosenwald school and convert it into a museum and community center to promote awareness and provide assistance to the greater community. It is our way of bridging the past, current and future generations. Understanding of our history will open the doors to change for the greater good.
Restoration & Historic Preservation.
Most of the historic Rosenwald schools have fallen into disrepair due to neglect or a lack of recognition for their historic significance. The New Hope Foundation is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the New Hope School to assure that its precious legacy is recognized and passed along to future generations.
Community Involvement & Fundraising.
The Rosenwald Foundation has leveraged community support including local churches, historical societies and local officials for fundraising initiatives and grassroot efforts to restore the Rosenwald school. It is our goal to continue these efforts while also informing the masses via speaking engagements and publications.
